Holy Grail Hair Conditioners

“Holy Grail”, Holy grail to me means that if i were to be stranded on an island i would “HAVE TO HAVE” these products and these products only. Now if you are at all like me underneath your sink are tons and tons of shampoos, conditioners, treatments, styling products, etc. Most of mine are either half used or barely enough that i often wonder how i am even going to get the last bit out. Haha. Well anyways i tried to narrow it down the best that i could with my “Holy grail”, “must have”, “can’t live without it” list. I’ve broken it down into categories, and gave examples of my faves (just letting you know all of these aren’t must haves haha just ones i recommend from each of my holy grail categories).

Daily Conditioner: When i don’t use a deep conditioner i tend to use repairing and smoothing conditioners. Frizz is always one of my top priorities when it comes to getting the results i want, i want my hair as smooth as possible whether i let it air dry or blow dry or even straighten. Here are several i enjoy using that give me the frizz control and keep the hair smooth, soft, and hydrated. The Redken is one of my favorites because it has added heat protection in the shampoo and conditioner great for when using heat styling tools. The S-Factor probably my favorite conditioner of all time, even better than some of the deep conditioners. The S-Factor instantly detangles and smooths as soon as you put it on. I have never had such soft smooth hair and it has a great lingering sent.

Deep Conditioner: This is a MUST if you have frizzy, chemically treated, thick, or dry damaged hair. These will be your best friend for those of you have curly/wavy tangled hair. Deep conditioners are typically used about 2 times a week, i sometimes use them as my everyday conditioner (I don’t wash my hair everyday) . These just help repair damage from heat and chemicals as well as detangle and tame frizz. A few of my favorites are:

Hair Chemist Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Macadmaia

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

It’s A 10 Miracle Hair Mask

I would say they all work fairly the same: For my thick, wavy, chemically treated hair they detangle, repair, and help with the frizz. My absolute favorite is the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque (Buy at Ulta $33 for 8.5 oz) it is just a miracle product and smells phenomenal. A close second is the Hair Chemist Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque (Buy at Sallys Beauty Supply $11.99 for 8.5 oz), this one i keep getting just because it is half the price of the Macadamia Brand. They both really do the same thing but smell different and the Macadamia brand is more luxurious. The It’s a 10 i like as an everyday conditioner because its not as thick as the other two, still i get pretty similar results from all of them.

Leave In Conditioner: This is my ABSOLUTE HOLY GRAIL product, i can do with out any other hair products but for me this is a must! There are a ton of different ones, most all of the ones i use detangle, protect against environmental and heat styling, reduce frizz, add shine, hydration, provide softness, add shine, etc. Here are my faves:

Pureology 21 Essential Benefits

12 Benefits

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in plus Keratin

Again these are all the ones i love and keep in my rotation, the It’s a 10 plus Keratin is really good in the summer time when you are in the chlorine and ocean. My favorite out of these is the 12 benefits, it always leaves my hair calm and less frizzy. Keep in mind if you used a deep conditioner then you won’t need as much of the spray, i have a tendency to load it on though. These never weigh down my hair, and my hair always looks shiny and is super soft.

Next time you go to Ulta or Target, pick up a deep conditioning mask it will change your life. Here is a drugstore option that i also enjoy plus are friendlier to the wallet:

Neutrogena Deep Recovery Hair Mask

Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to leave comments of your favorite or  “Holy Grail Conditioners”.
